Gowrie Farm project

We have just finished the drawings and 3D renderings of a very exciting new project at Gowrie Farm, Nottingham Road, KZN. The houses at Gowrie have drawn their inspiration from old farmhouses of the Midlands of KZN. The houses have a primary core space with secondary lean-to spaces and fragmented design. The design needs to look like old barns and farm sheds have been renovated as to fit in with the farm surroundings. We have taken our inspiration from this brief and created a very interesting fragmented home with the use of connecting slab concrete boxes to connect the main living spaces. We have used a combination of mediums as finishers on these areas - exposed brick, bagged plaster, dry packed stone and iron cladding. Internal finishes will include timber floors, skimmed concrete floors and concrete flagstones.
